Silent worship, 2023
Silent worship reflective with an opaqueness transmission of light when struck by artificial flashlight and at the same time sombre and nocturnal while light is restricted from it. A metamorphosis unfolds grasping a metaphorical presence.
The tactile qualities of the fibre, a sheer luminescence are partially captured in a single gaze using flash photography in day light. The flat reflective tape yarn used originally for the industry, allows its genre-specific characteristics to emit light. Heavily woven, gravity and tension disappear when amplified at night.
The impression of height and width is characterized by gaiety, somberness, of monumentality within a strict framework. An instrumentation of the state of mind within a controlled formulation.
These monolithic pilar quiet yet dominant becomes a platform for a fantasy pilgrimage, a silent worship and at the same time an escape voyage, a connection with the self, a rest place for a hidden force that resonates with intuition.
The constricted threads, the necessary tension, the opposite tendencies, the void, and the plenum arising from the making, all these animate the textile, leaving their imprint, the memory of a struggle.

Soul Clouds, 2025
Fluorescent yarn adapts sand itself creates new ambient conditions that is highly sensitized to the fluctuations of light and dark. Luminous and striking at night, a metaphysical journey unfolds for the soul journey to the afterlife.
The fine fluorescent thread white in day light, an ethereal material, visible in the absence of light, evokes the unseen that connects life with afterlife, form, and spirit.
As the clouds are woven together, they take the shape of a celestial landscape, a pathway through the unknown. They chart the journey from life to afterlife, not an end but as a continuation into a journey that glows quietly in the dark, guiding the soul home. The vessels are carrying the soul on its scared voyage from the tangible to the transcendent.
The soul needs to be refined and sensitive, to have sensibility and wings, to be constantly in flight and to live in dreams, to fly through infinity, among the stars, amidst the silence.
A blueprint for the soul’s own journey through death and into the eternal sunrise.
